  • There is less than 48 hours to go until the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show 2010 sponsored by Get On opens it’s doors. This year sees the National BikeSafe Motorcycle show held in the north of England for the very first time, home of some of the best biking routes in the country.

  • Yamaha have confirmed that three of their newest bikes will be available to test ride at the completely free National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show sponsored by Get On at Sheffield Arena on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June.

    For UK riders this will be the first opportunity to test ride the XJ6 Diversion F ABS, the FZ8 and XT1200Z Super Tenere anywhere in the UK.

    Riders attending the show will be able to experience the thrill of riding one of these brand new bikes for the first time should they wish to take a free 45-minutes assessed ride out with an advanced police motorcyclist:

  • The National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show can confirm that Gary Mason (British Superbike rider for MSS Colchester Kawasaki), John Kirkham (British Superstock rider for JK Racing) and John Westmoreland (British Supersport rider for CAME Yamaha) will all be attending the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show sponsored by Get On at Sheffield Arena on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June.

  • Suzuki and Harley Davidson, two of the many leading manufacturers attending the 2010 National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show sponsored by Get On have announced the provisional demo test fleets* they will be bringing to the show.  Riders attending the show will be able to experience the thrill of riding the following bikes should they wish to take a free 45-minutes assessed ride out with an advanced police motorcyclist:

  • Ducati, one of the many leading manufacturers attending the 2010 National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show sponsored by Get On have announced the provisional test and display fleets* they will be bringing to the show, including the brand new Multistrada 1200.  Riders attending the show will be able to experience the thrill of riding the following bikes should they wish to take a free 45-minutes assessed ride out with an advanced police motorcyclist:

  • Kawasaki one of the many leading manufacturers attending the 2010 National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show sponsored by Get On have announced the provisional demo test fleet* of 14 bikes they will be bringing to the show.  Riders attending the show will be able to experience the thrill of riding the following bikes should they wish to take a free 45-minutes assessed ride out with an advanced police motorcyclist:

  • Winn Solicitors in conjunction with the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show will be giving away one VIP hospitality package for Silverstone on Sunday 26 September 2010 on each day of the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show.

  • This is what a safe, environment-friendly and highly practical single-track vehicle for city traffic could look like in the future. The C1-E concept vehicle, developed by BMW, will enjoy its first UK showing at the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show 2010, sponsored by the industry’s Get On campaign, at Sheffield Arena on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June.

  • A campaign across the whole of Yorkshire and Humber encouraging road users to look out for people on two wheels starts this month.

  • Police officers from South Yorkshire Police’s motorcycle wing led the way alongside world super bike champion James Toseland at this year’s annual charity egg-run organised by South Yorkshire Police and Three Shires Honda Owners Club to raise money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.

  • For the first time ever since South Yorkshire-wide figures began, last year no children were killed on South Yorkshire roads

    Since county-wide road casualty statistics were first recorded in 1979 there has been a steady downward trend for the number of children killed on the roads of our county and for the first time ever, no children aged 0 - 15 were killed as a result of road traffic collisions in South Yorkshire in 2009.
