There is less than 48 hours to go until the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show 2010 sponsored by Get On opens it’s doors. This year sees the National BikeSafe Motorcycle show held in the north of England for the very first time, home of some of the best biking routes in the country.
If you have been keeping up with the latest show news you will be as excited as we are about the UK firsts appearing at the show, including BMW’s latest concept – the C1-E electric scooter and Yamaha’s latest machines the XJ6 Diversion F ABS, the FZ8 and XT1200Z Super Tenere. It is the first time these models will have been made available to test ride anywhere in the UK!
We are pleased to announce expert riders Gary Mason, John Kirkham and John Westmoreland who are performing well in the Britsh Superbike, Superstock and Supersport series’ respectively, will be joining us. You will find the riders and their bikes at the Motocomp stand.
As you would expect, all the leading manufacturers will be at the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show. Each manufacturer is bringing their own demo test fleets for riders wishing to take a free assessed ride-out with an advanced police motorcyclist. That’s a total of over 70 of the latest machines available for test-rides! Alternatively, riders can take a free assessed ride-out on their own bike. Don’t forget though, to avoid disappointment you must bring both parts of your motorcycle licence and your insurance documents plus a credit card to cover any refundable deposits requested by the manufacturers.
You don’t have to have a motorcycle licence to make the most of the National BikeSafe Motorcycle show either. As main sponsors of the show the Get On team will be providing the opportunity for those who have never ridden before or are coming back to riding to have a go in a safe and secure area in the presence of fully qualified instructors. So, even if you have never ridden a bike before and fancy having a go there will be something for you at the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show.
Finally, don’t forget to bring the family! To keep the kids entertained there will be a fun fair, face painting (Saturday only), Real Radio’s Barry the Basset Hound, emergency services displays and attractions galore with the Extreme Globe Riders, Dave Coates stunt show, trials bike extraordinaire Steve Colley and something for the youngsters – Honda My First Licence .
We’ve even booked the sunshine...
See you there!
