National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show supports Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Yorkshire Air Ambulance

The chosen charities for the National BikeSafe Motorcycle Show 2010 are Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Funds will be raised during the show through various activities, watch this space for more info! If you have any ideas for fund raising during the weekend we’d love to hear them.

This year’s show is hosted by South Yorkshire Police who have formed close links with Sheffield Children’s Hospital following several highly successful ‘Egg Runs’, organised every Easter by the Three Shires Honda Owner’s club and South Yorkshire Police Motorcycle Wing. The 2009 run saw 2000 riders join the convoy to Weston Park, Sheffield lead by Sheffield’s Moto GP star James Toseland. Last years ‘Egg Run’ raised a whopping £7322.20 not to mention the mountain of Easter eggs which were delivered to the children.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a life saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire. They fly seven days a week, 365 days a year, covering a vast landscape that not only includes major cities and motor ways, but also rural and isolated locations including the many popular biking routes across Yorkshire.
